HAIL — A Saudi nurse has been honored by Hail Health Affairs Director Dr. Abdulmohsin Saud for saving the life of a young man who had a terrible accident on Madinah Road. One of the emergency room doctors, who also treated the victim, said Alya Salim Al-Shammary had set an example for all her colleagues. Al-Shammary said she only did her duty. Al-Shammary and her husband pulled over when they saw the accident and she immediately administered first aid to the young man, who had sustained severe injuries and had stopped breathing at one point. She took care of him until the Red Crescent Authority’s paramedics arrived at the scene. — SG
