Snapchat unveils platform overhaul and new AR features at Snap Partner Summit 2024

At the Snap Partner Summit (SPS) 2024, Snapchat revealed significant platform updates aimed at enhancing user experience, creativity, and community building.

Key announcements included a platform makeover, an upgraded AR Lens Studio, and new tools for creators and businesses. The new profile design simplifies navigation, focusing on communication, photography, and entertainment, while the revamped AR Lens Studio allows developers to create advanced AR experiences, including the new AI-powered Easy Lens for quick AR creation.

The summit also highlighted updates for creators, allowing easier toggling between personal and public accounts, and new features like pinning favorite Snaps and deeper engagement tools. Snapchat continues to be a popular platform in the GCC, where users open the app an average of 45 times per day.

Hussein Freijeh, Vice President of Snap Inc. in MENA, emphasized the platform's role in connecting users and supporting the region’s creator community, noting that the new updates will drive stronger engagement and provide new opportunities for creators and brands alike.
