Prince Khalid holds talks with British defense secretary

RIYADH — Saudi Arabia’s Deputy Minister of Defense Prince Khalid Bin Salman received a phone call on Tuesday from British Defense Secretary Ben Wallace.

During the phone call, they reviewed historic and distinguished bilateral relations, especially in the defense affairs, and the joint work between the two countries to achieve security in the region, Saudi Press Agency reported.

“In a telephone call with my friend @BWallaceMP, the UK Secretary of State for Defense, I discussed the bilateral defense and military cooperation between our two countries and ways of strengthening it within the framework our historic relations,” Prince Khalid tweeted.

Prince Khalid thanked the United Kingdom for sending British military forces and defense systems to Saudi Arabia in order to achieve the common goals of protecting the security of the region.

For his part, Minister Wallace said that the presence of British forces in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia confirms the depth of the partnership between the two friendly countries and the need for enhanced cooperation to maintain the security and stability of the region.

Prince Khalid praised the strategic partnership between the two countries in all fields, including the defense, called for strengthening the partnership within the framework of the common vision.
