Crown prince rejects foreign interference in Syria during call with President Al-Sharaa

RIYADH —
Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman received a phone call on Thursday from Syrian President Ahmad Al-Sharaa, during which both leaders discussed the latest developments in Syria and regional stability.

The Crown Prince welcomed the measures announced by the Syrian president to contain recent unrest in the country, expressing confidence in Syria’s ability to restore security and maintain national unity under Al-Sharaa’s leadership.

He commended the Syrian government’s ongoing efforts to preserve the country’s territorial integrity and strengthen cohesion among all segments of Syrian society, emphasizing the need to prevent any attempts to sow discord or destabilize the nation.

Prince Mohammed also underscored the importance of continuing Syria’s progress on all fronts to achieve prosperity and meet the aspirations of its people.

He reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s firm stance in supporting Syria and rejecting any actions that threaten its internal peace or social harmony.

The Crown Prince reiterated the Kingdom’s condemnation of repeated Israeli attacks on Syrian territory and foreign interference in Syria’s internal affairs.

President Al-Sharaa expressed his gratitude to Saudi Arabia for its supportive stance and praised the Crown Prince’s efforts to promote stability in Syria and across the region.
