RIYADH — An official source at the Ministry of Interior announced Sunday that following health authorities recommendations the curfew and precautionary measures imposed on Samtah governorate would be relaxed as of tomorrow, Monday, May 11, 2020.

The ministry had imposed a 24-hour curfew Samtah and Al-Dayer governorates in Jazan Region on 24/8/1441H (April 17, 2020). With the easing of the rules on Monday, it would allow residents of Samtah to move around in the allowed time to meet their needs from 09:00 a.m. through 05:00 p.m.

The rules would exclude exceptional activities from curfew restrictions as well as health precautionary measures to combat coronavirus, which have been previously announced, and that will remain in force.

The Ministry of Interior confirms that these measures have been taken as part of the efforts being exerted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to preserve public health by preventing the spread of the Coronavirus, and are subject to continuous re-consideration and evaluation by health authorities.

The Ministry also calls upon everyone to assume responsibilities and adhere to the precautionary measures for the sake of public interest. — SPA
