You have surely seen a Bitmoji on social media apps. But what can you actually do with those personalized avatars?

Here is a simple guide on how to create your cartoon avatar:

You will first need to download the Bitmoji app from either the App Store or Google Play. Then, log in with your Snapchat account. You can then choose whether to make the process easier by just snapping a selfie and allowing Bitmoji to create your avatar or by manually crafting your own.

Earlier this year, the Bitmoji app launched a major update with the introduction of a new style called Bitmoji Deluxe, allowing you to create an avatar accurately by taking a selfie and perfectly imitating your virtual self.

Bitmoji lets you choose from a wide variety of hairstyles, eye shapes, eye colors, body types, skin tones, and other features in order to build your own personalized avatar and share it with your family and friends.

After choosing your physical attribution, you can then customize your outfit and be ready to communicate with friends using your own avatar.

The Bitmoji app allows you to express your feelings and emotions on many occasions and in different ways.

You can communicate using your cartoon avatar in many apps such as Snapchat, iMessage, Google Gboard by sending stickers, Geofilters, Friendmoji (avatars of you and your friends), Actionmoji (avatars showing what you do), and AR 3D versions of yourself with 3D Bitmoji.

In fact, Bitmoji can be added to the keyboard along with the languages you use in a way that you can express your feelings through your virtual self almost everywhere even on WhatsApp Messenger.

On an iPhone, that can be done by going to Settings > General > Keyboard > Keyboards > Add New Keyboard > Bitmoji > Allow Full Access.

Bitmoji joined the Snap family in summer 2016 and was the most downloadable app in the world in 2017 followed by Snapchat, according to USA Today. Almost 178 million people use Snapchat every day wherein over 7 million daily users are from Saudi Arabia.
