RIYADH – Representatives from the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and Industry met with their German counterparts on Saturday to discuss proposals to increase trade between the two countries, with a train line connecting the Kingdom to Europe one of the most notable propositions heard.
Riyadh Chamber Vice Chairman Sa’ad Al-Mujil said the idea, tabled during a meeting met with senior representatives from German Chambers of Commerce, entailed a rail line passing through Middle East countries such as Jordan and Syria on its way to Europe as a means of boosting trade exchange with Saudi Arabia.
Al-Mujil said he hoped to see increased exports to Germany and greater German involvement in projects in the Kingdom. – Okaz/SG
