JEDDAH — Palestine Consul General Emad Shaat received 500 Palestinian pilgrims, who are members of families of martyrs, on Tuesday.



“Every year Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah grants families of Palestinian martyrs the privilege of performing Haj. This year 500 pilgrims have come from Gaza and 500 from West Bank.” Shaat said.



Shaat thanked King Abdullah, Crown Prince Salman and all the concerned authorities for all the facilities they provide during Haj.



Shaat also noted that number of Palestinian pilgrims this year is around 6,000. There are 2,000 pilgrims from Gaza and 4,000 from West Bank, in addition to 1,000 from the martyrs’ families.



Shaat stressed this year extra facilities are provided and long queues whether on arrival to finish entry procedure or waiting for buses to transport pilgrims to Makkah has been taken care of.
