BAHA — Two Indian nationals were arrested after a body was found floating in a well in the village of Jabr. A citizen noticed a hand floating inside the well and notified police. A spokesman of Baha Police, Lt. Col. Bandar Al-Ghamdi, said police patrols attended the scene and the Civil Defense removed the body. The incident is being treated as murder. The victim’s body was wrapped in plastic with a piece of cloth around the neck and there were wounds to the face and head. He added that police detained the two suspects after they were found loitering around the scene and preliminary investigations connected them to the murder. They were referred to pertinent bodies for further investigations. Meanwhile, an Asian national died after he fell into a 36-meter deep well in Yanbu on Monday. Acting Madinah Civil Defense spokesman Col. Abdullah Al-Oufi said rescuers rushed to the site and recovered the body. He added preliminary investigations revealed the victim was doing some repair work on the well when he fell in. He said forensics teams were on site to investigate the incident but no foul play was suspected.
