BAHA – The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has seized 7,000 defective electrical devices that were on their way to local markets. The low-quality devices and plugs were confiscated because they did not meet Saudi standards and specifications, posing a great health risks to consumers. The violators will be fined. The ministry’s inspectors also found 3,000 expired food items in groceries and supermarkets in Al-Baha. The ministry has launched an intensive campaign to crack down on merchants who jeopardize public health by offering fake goods.
