Top firemen bitten by snake while fighting farm fire

The head of Baha Civil Defense, Maj. Ahmad Al-Zahrani, was bitten by a snake while supervising firefighters in extinguishing a fire that had struck some farms in the area. Vice Sgt. Bandar Al-Zahrani was also bitten by another and both were rushed to hospital. They are in a good condition.

BAHA — The head of Baha Civil Defense, Maj. Ahmad Al-Zahrani, was bitten by a snake while supervising firefighters in extinguishing a fire that had struck some farms in the area. Vice Sgt. Bandar Al-Zahrani was also bitten by another and both were rushed to hospital. They are in a good condition.



The blaze started when some farmers were burning agricultural waste. The fire spread and was soon out of control. The Civil Defense was then called to deal with the fire, which covered a 90,000 square-meter area.
