JEDDAH — As drivers gear up for the Rally Jeddah 2014, Saudi rally driver Farouq Ghorab is determined for a positive result.
In order to prepare for the event, Ghorab and his co-driver Lebanese Sami Aboud have been testing their vehicle the last few days. “The Toyota FJ is a very strong car and we have a few ideas about how we can improve the set-up. I hope we’ll find some good solutions, so we can really challenge in the first few stages,” Ghorab said.
“We need a bit of luck to win. We have also been working very hard with the entire team to adapt the FJ to the stages of the rally which are known as desert roads and require a different leadership techniques,” he added.
The Jeddah rally will be launched Thursday under the patronage Prince Misha’al Bin Majed, Governor of Jeddah, head of Rally Jeddah’s Higher Organizing Committee.
