JEDDAH — Oman’s Consulate General in Jeddah hosted a function to mark the 43rd anniversary of the country’s National Day here on Tuesday.



Consuls general of several countries as well as many prominent Saudi personalities and businessmen and members of the Omani community attended the event at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Al-Hamra district.



Consul General Jumaah Al-Rashdy and other consulate officials received the guests at the entrance of the hotel’s Crystal Hall and took memorial photos with them.



The ceremony began with the playing of Omani and Saudi national anthems. A consulate representative delivered the commemoration speech. He congratulated Sultan Qaboos Bin Said and the Omani people on the occasion. The guests were treated to traditional Omani songs, famous Omani “halwa” and other dishes.



At the end of the ceremony, a raffle draw took place where Oman Air gave away several round-trip tickets to Muscat and other destinations to winners.
