HAIL — The Ministry of Higher Education has made it compulsory for the newly established graduates administrations in local universities to make databases of their students accessible to the ministries, government departments and private sector companies to help them hire new graduates. According to the dean of information technology at Hail University and supervisor for the graduates’ administration, Majed Al-Haissouni, among companies taking advantage of the new system are banks and engineering, construction and financial companies. These companies screen the profiles of male and female graduates to prepare a shortlist of candidates to fill available vacancies. — SG
