RIYADH — Six Saudi relief trucks carrying food baskets crossed the Karam Abu Salem border crossing on Monday, heading into the Gaza Strip.

The aid was provided by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) as part of the Kingdom’s ongoing popular campaign to support the Palestinian people amid worsening humanitarian conditions in Gaza.

The new aid convoy comes at a time of severe challenges in the territory, where essential supplies remain scarce due to prolonged conflict and restricted access.

In parallel, the Saudi Council of Ministers, chaired by King Salman bin Abdulaziz, reiterated its hope that the International High-Level Conference on the Peaceful Resolution of the Palestinian Issue — co-hosted by Saudi Arabia and France — will contribute to accelerating global recognition of the State of Palestine and establishing a consensus-based path toward implementing the two-state solution.

The Cabinet also reaffirmed the Kingdom’s unwavering belief that achieving security, stability, and prosperity in the region begins with doing justice to the Palestinian people, including their right to establish an independent state along the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.

“This is not just a political position,” the Council stated, “but a firm conviction that the establishment of a sovereign Palestinian state is the true key to lasting peace in the region.”
