RIYADH — The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed Saudi Arabia's condemnation and denunciation of the statements made by an official from the Israeli occupation authorities calling for the imposition of sovereignty over the West Bank in Palestine, in violation of international legitimacy resolutions.
In a statement, the ministry reiterated the Kingdom's firm rejection of any attempts to expand settlements on Palestinian land, and stressed the importance of holding the Israeli authorities accountable to international resolutions.
Saudi Arabia reaffirmed its full support for the Palestinian people in pursuit of their legitimate rights, in accordance with international legitimacy resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative, including the establishment of an independent Palestinian state along the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital. “This is the Kingdom’s firm and unwavering position,” the statement emphasized.
