Saudi Gazette report

RIYADH —
Saudi Arabia has expressed deep concern over the escalating developments in Iran, particularly the recent targeting of Iranian nuclear facilities by the United States.

In a statement issued on Sunday, the Kingdom reaffirmed its previous condemnation of any actions that violate the sovereignty of Iran, referencing its earlier position made public on June 13, 2025. At the time, Riyadh had denounced the attack as a breach of international norms and called for urgent de-escalation.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed the importance of exerting all possible efforts to maintain regional stability by exercising restraint and avoiding further escalation.

Saudi Arabia also urged the international community to intensify diplomatic efforts during this critical period to achieve a political resolution to the crisis.

The Kingdom emphasized that a peaceful outcome is essential to opening a new chapter for security and stability in the Middle East.

The statement comes amid heightened tensions following U.S. airstrikes on Iranian nuclear sites and growing fears of a broader conflict in the region.
