DAMASCUS — Syria has expressed its heartfelt gratitude to Saudi Arabia and Qatar for their generous support to settle the outstanding financial dues owed by Syria to the World Bank, amounting to $15 million.

In an official statement released on Sunday, the Syrian government praised the fraternal initiative, emphasizing that the settlement of these dues was a significant gesture of solidarity during challenging times for the country. The payment is seen as a crucial step in supporting Syria’s economic stability and facilitating its path to recovery and reconstruction.
