ALBAHA —
The Heritage Commission, in partnership with the Emirate of Al-Baha Region, launched a special Eid Al-Fitr initiative to welcome visitors to the historic Thee Ain Heritage Village in Al-Mikhwah governorate.

The initiative featured a hospitality corner offering gifts to guests, along with informative displays about the Al-Baha region and the cultural significance of Thee Ain village.

Perched 2,000 meters above sea level, Thee Ain is renowned for its centuries-old stone architecture. Its buildings are topped with roofs made from juniper trees sourced from nearby forests, and adorned with quartz stones arranged in triangular patterns.

The village also houses ancient defensive towers once used for protection and surveillance, and it boasts an ideal agricultural environment for cultivating plants like kadi (screw pine) and bananas, making it a popular tourist destination in the Kingdom.
