MAKKAH Prince Saud bin Mishaal, Deputy Emir of Makkah Region, inaugurated the Holy Qur'an Museum, one of the main facilities in the Hira Cultural District, which is an enriching destination that enhances the religious and cultural experience for visitors to Makkah.

The museum offers an integrated interactive experience. It includes a collection of rare manuscripts, historical Qur’an manuscripts, and interactive visual displays that allow visitors to learn about the process of writing the Holy Qur’an and the aspects of care for it throughout the ages.

It also aims to highlight the value of the Holy Qur'an as the primary source of guidance for Muslims, and to enrich the visitors' experience with modern display methods that reflect the depth of care for the Book of God.

The inauguration of the museum comes within the framework of the Royal Commission's efforts to prepare and activate historical sites and develop cultural projects that contribute to enriching the experience of Makkah's residents and visitors, through qualitative projects that reflect its religious identity and ancient history.

The Hira Cultural District is an integrated destination that reflects the spiritual and historical depth of Makkah.

It surrounds Mount Hira, the site where the Holy Qur'an was first revealed. It includes a number of facilities that enhance the religious and cognitive experience of visitors. The Revelation Exhibition presents an interactive visualization of the story of the revelation to the Prophet, and the Hira Cave experience allows visitors to reach the historical site via a path prepared according to the best standards.

The project also includes the Saudi Coffee Museum, the Cultural Library, and Hira Park, which provides visitors with an integrated environment for exploration and enjoyment.
