RIYADH — The Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha) has initiated multiple criminal and administrative cases during February 2025 as part of its ongoing efforts to combat corruption in Saudi Arabia.

According to a statement released by the authority on Friday, a total of 3,466 oversight visits were conducted across various government entities.

Following these inspections, 370 individuals were placed under investigation, while 131 individuals were arrested, some of whom were later released on bail.

The individuals under investigation and arrest include employees from several key ministries and government bodies, such as the Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Defense, National Guard, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Municipalities and Housing, as well as the Zakat, Tax, and Customs Authority and the Saudi Ports Authority.

The corruption-related offenses involve bribery and abuse of authority, among other violations.

Nazaha reaffirmed its commitment to enforcing transparency and accountability in the public sector, urging citizens and residents to report any suspected corruption cases.
