WASHINGTON — U.S. President Donald Trump has dismissed the possibility of deporting Prince Harry, citing the Duke of Sussex’s personal struggles as a reason to leave him alone.

“I don’t want to do that... He’s got enough problems with his wife. She’s terrible,” Trump said in an interview with The New York Post on Friday.

Prince Harry’s immigration status has been under scrutiny, with the Heritage Foundation alleging that he may have concealed past drug use, which could disqualify him from holding a U.S. visa. The conservative think tank sued the Department of Homeland Security last year, seeking the release of Harry’s visa records following his admissions of drug use in his autobiography Spare.

Harry and Meghan Markle moved to the U.S. in 2020 after stepping back from royal duties, and the couple has been outspoken in their criticism of Trump. Markle previously called him “divisive” and “misogynistic.” Trump, who has openly criticized the pair in the past, described Harry as being "whipped" by his wife.
