ABHA — Damac delivered a shocking 2-1 victory over Al-Ittihad, with Cameroonian striker Kevin Nkoudou scoring twice in a thrilling match held at Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Sports City Stadium in Abha on Monday as part of the 17th round of the Saudi Pro League.

Nkoudou opened the scoring for Damac in the 17th minute with a powerful strike that left Serbian goalkeeper Rajković helpless.

However, Al-Ittihad captain Karim Benzema equalized with a superb header in the final moments of the first half’s stoppage time.

In the dying minutes of the game, as Al-Ittihad pressed forward in search of a winning goal, Nkoudou capitalized on a counterattack, netting a stunning second goal in the fourth minute of added time to secure the win for Damac.

The defeat leaves Al-Ittihad stranded in second place with 43 points, while Damac revitalized their campaign, climbing to 21 points with the crucial three points earned from this unexpected victory.
