Saudi health minister explores healthcare cooperation during official visit to Greece

RIYADH —
Minister of Health Fahd Al-Jalajel has embarked on an official visit to Greece, where he is scheduled to meet Greek Health Minister Adonis Georgiadis and leaders of the pharmaceutical industry.

The visit includes tours of Greek pharmaceutical companies to explore opportunities for collaboration in pharmaceutical research, development, and local medicine production.

Al-Jalajel emphasized that the visit underscores the strong ties between Saudi Arabia and Greece, enhancing cooperation in shared areas and establishing the groundwork for future partnerships. These partnerships aim to foster innovation and advance the healthcare sectors in both nations.

During the visit, Al-Jalajel will review healthcare services, including emergency medical response, telemedicine, and virtual healthcare applications.

He will also visit the Hellenic National Center for Emergency Care to gain insights into Greece’s emergency health services and learn from its expertise in this field.

Discussions will focus on joint cooperation in key areas such as virtual medicine, emergency services, digital health, and improving healthcare services on tourist islands.
