RIYADH — The Ministry of Culture and the General Entertainment Authority (GEA) have signed an agreement unveiling a series of joint executive and planning projects that align with the aspirations of Saudi Vision 2030, focusing on enhancing quality of life and developing human capabilities.
Turki Al-Sheikh, Chairman of the GEA, described the agreement as highly significant for launching several projects that will activate four main tracks in the fields of film, fashion, and music, contributing to the objectives of Vision 2030.
The first track aims to enhance cooperation between the Film Commission and Riyadh Season’s strategic partner, Sela, to support producers working in Al-Hosn Studios, one of the new zones of the season. This includes facilitating licensing procedures, participation in the Film Commission's production support program, and launching the commission’s office at the studio complex.
The second track focuses on supporting the Ministry of Culture through sponsoring a major fashion event at Riyadh Season titled “1000 Seasons,” held in partnership with renowned designer Elie Saab in The Venue area, one of the season’s new zones, this coming November.
The third track seeks to jointly develop the Saudi oud manufacturing sector through the Riyadh Season’s initiative to promote the production of the Saudi oud, supporting traditional crafts and musical arts in the Kingdom.
The fourth track focuses on enhancing the strategic partnership between the Music Commission and Merwas Studio, aiming to establish it as a global hub for music production and recording, fostering national musical talent, and attracting international artists.
