RIYADH — The General Directorate of Narcotics Control (GDNC) has arrested a Saudi citizen in the Riyadh region while attempting to sell 59 kilograms of hashish. The necessary legal action has been taken against him, and he has been referred to the Public Prosecution, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

The security authorities urged citizens and residents to report any information related to drug smuggling or selling to the GDNC by calling over the toll-free number 911 in the regions of Makkah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, or 999 in the rest of the regions, or by emailing 995@gdnc.gov.sa.

The directorate said that all such reporting will be treated confidentially.
