The Air Connectivity Program in Saudi Arabia announced the entry of Transavia France Airlines with direct flights between Paris and Jeddah.

The new flights from Orly and Lyon to Jeddah are scheduled to be launched next December. There will be two weekly flights in each direction using Boeing 737 aircraft.

The CEO of the Air Connectivity Program, Majid Khan, explained that this step will enhance the concept of inbound tourism from Paris-Orly and Lyon to Saudi Arabia, which is part of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030. He added that they were looking forward to forging a long-term partnership with Transavia.

The air connectivity program aims to increase tourism growth in Saudi Arabia by enhancing air connectivity between Saudi Arabia and other countries by expanding potential air routes and connecting the Kingdom to new global destinations.

The program, as the executive enabler of the National Tourism Strategy and the National Aviation Strategy, also works to enhance cooperation and build partnerships between the main actors in the public and private sectors in the tourism and aviation systems to enhance the Kingdom’s position as a world-leading tourist destination and in air connectivity.
