Medical team saves Russian pilgrim at King Abdullah Medical City

MAKKAH —
A team of medical professionals at the Heart Health Center of King Abdullah Medical City in Makkah successfully intervened to save a 63-year-old Russian pilgrim experiencing severe chest pain.

According to the Makkah Health Cluster, the pilgrim suffered chest pain and was quickly transported to the medical facility by a Red Crescent ambulance following an emergency call. Upon his arrival, he was immediately taken to the cardiac catheterization unit to begin treatment. The medical team installed a pacemaker with a defibrillator function to prevent potential cardiac arrest.

Following the successful implantation of the pacemaker, the patient is now under close observation in the cardiac intensive care unit, where he is reported to be recovering well. This intervention will allow him to continue his Hajj pilgrimage under continuous medical supervision.
