Saudi defense minister meets with Yemeni PM, affirms support for government

JEDDAH — Saudi Minister of Defense Prince Khalid bin Salman met with visiting Yemeni Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak in Jeddah on Thursday.

At the outset of the meeting, Prince Khalid bin Salman conveyed the greetings and best wishes of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince to the Yemeni prime minister, expressing hopes for peace and prosperity for Yemen and its people.

In return, Dr. Ahmed bin Mubarak extended his greetings and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince.

They discussed, among other things, fraternal relations between the two countries and reviewed the new developments in Yemen.

Both sides discussed efforts to support the political process, bring peace, and achieve security and stability in Yemen.

Prince Khalid bin Salman affirmed the Kingdom’s support for the Yemeni government and its efforts to serve the Yemeni people.
