JEDDAH — Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman received on Sunday a phone call from Iraq’s Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani.

During the call, the two leaders discussed the recent military escalation in the region and the seriousness of its repercussions on its security and stability.

The Crown Prince and the Iraqi prime minister emphasized the importance of making the necessary efforts to prevent the situation from worsening as well as to spare the region from the risks of escalation, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
