INIOCHOS 2024: Multinational air drill commences in Greece with Saudi participation

The multinational air exercise INIOCHOS 2024 officially commenced at Andravida Air Base in Greece, witnessing the participation of the Royal Saudi Air Force alongside air forces from brotherly and friendly nations.

Spearheading the Saudi contingent, Lieutenant Colonel Abdulaziz Al-Harbi highlighted the comprehensive preparations undertaken in the preceding months aimed at maximizing the training benefits for all participating crews. The Saudi team fields the advanced Typhoon aircraft system, supported by its full complement of air, technical, and support crews.

Lieutenant Colonel Al-Harbi elaborated on the exercise's objectives, which center around elevating the readiness and combat proficiency of the air force personnel, enabling them to adeptly undertake their designated missions. This includes training to operate from distant bases and enhancing their operational capabilities by flying in diverse environmental and topographical conditions alongside various systems and capabilities.

He further detailed the scope of the exercise, which encompasses a series of complex combat air operations. These operations involve planning cells and the command of air missions and campaigns, in addition to executing forward intelligence and air control during close air-support operations.
