MAKKAH
— The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) is committed to advancing secure digital services and intelligent solutions, particularly for government entities serving visitors to the Two Holy Mosques during the Umrah season. This initiative is part of SDAIA's broader mandate to utilize data and artificial intelligence to improve services at these sacred sites.

Aiming to provide exceptional services to Umrah performers and visitors, SDAIA has integrated services from multiple government sectors into the "Tawakkalna" application. This app, available in seven languages and accessible in 77 countries, facilitates a range of services including issuance of Umrah permits, weather updates, Qibla direction, and prayer times.

In recognition of the critical role of AI technologies in enhancing the experience of worshippers and visitors, SDAIA collaborates closely with relevant entities. This collaboration aims at optimizing crowd management and monitoring at entry points to ensure the safety and comfort of all visitors.

SDAIA's "Baseer" platform stands as a testament to the authority's innovative approach, offering technological products that utilize national algorithms for crowd organization, movement flow management, and the provision of advanced data analytics dashboards for real-time analysis.

Furthermore, SDAIA supports the efficiency of entry points by supplying human resources and technological devices, conducting preventive maintenance, and offering comprehensive training on the use of devices, systems, and updates. These efforts collectively aim to enhance operations at border crossings, ensuring a seamless experience for Umrah performers and visitors to the Two Holy Mosques.
