RIYADH —
The Saudi Media Forum, set for its third edition in Riyadh on February 20 and 21, will spotlight the humanitarian crisis in Gaza amid a prolonged conflict.

A dedicated session titled "Gaza in the Media: Between Misrepresentation and Bias" aims to dissect the allegations of Western media's partiality toward Israel and the inaccuracies in the portrayal of the Gaza conflict.

Esteemed participants like Dr. Saad Al-Ajmi, former Kuwaiti Minister of Information; Ghassan Charbel, Editor-in-Chief of Al-Sharq Al-Awsat; and Ahmed Khattabi, Assistant Secretary General at the Arab League, will engage in this critical dialogue.

The session, moderated by Hussein Al-Sheikh of Al Arabiya, will explore the media's role in depicting Gaza events, the Arab media's efforts to refocus on the Palestinian cause, and the experiences of Arab journalists with the Palestinian issue.

The forum, a collaboration between the Saudi Broadcasting Authority and the Saudi Journalists Association, anticipates over 2000 participants from around the globe. It also features the "FOMEX" Future of Media Exhibition, the Middle East's largest media showcase, running from February 19 to 21, with participation from over 200 entities. An awards ceremony to celebrate media innovation and creativity will conclude the event.
