Princess Reema: 'Women in Defense' program to celebrate women’s role in defense field

JEDDAH — Princess Reema Bint Bandar, ambassador of Saudi Arabia to the United States, will attend the “Women in Defense” program, which will be held on the sidelines of the 2nd edition of the World Defense Exhibition 2024.

The exhibition will be held under the patronage of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, from Feb. 1, 2024.

Princess Reema, who chairs the program, said that the program aims to enhance and enable women’s participation and celebrate their role in this vital sector.

“The program would provide a distinctive platform that enhances opportunities to add to that success,” she said.

The Saudi envoy said that the Kingdom attaches great importance to promote and support women’s work in all sectors, including defense and security.

“What the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 called for is through empowering women and accelerating their integration into many areas within the labor market. Saudi Arabia.

“These trends contributed to achieving many successful models of women’s work and their excellence in various levels,” she said.

Princess Reema noted that these programs are working to create global momentum that reflects the Saudi government’s keenness on all aspects of empowering and enhancing women’s participation.

It is noteworthy that the “Women in Defense” program hosts female CEOs and leaders from various countries of the world, to highlight women’s achievements, discuss ongoing challenges, and learn how they contribute to the defense sector worldwide through a series of seminars and discourse sessions.

The role of women in international defense will figure high in the discussion sessions on the fourth day of the exhibition.
