Saudi Arabia participates in INTERPOL's 91st General Assembly

Saudi Arabia has participated in the meetings and activities of the 91st INTERPOL General Assembly in Vienna, coinciding with celebrations marking the 100th anniversary of the organization's founding.

The participation in the event reflects Saudi Arabia's commitment to cooperate with the international body in the field of law enforcement.

The Kingdom's delegation, headed by the Director of Saudi Interpol, Colonel Abdulmalik Al Saqeeh, touched on the role of technology in law enforcement.

The meeting discussed the best practices and experiences in enhancing strategic security performance, in addition to the importance of innovation to confront evolving global challenges, including cyber crimes and organized crimes, as well as terrorism.

The event, which is held annually, is considered to be an opportunity to bring together police officers and law enforcement agencies from the 195 member states of Interpol.

The discussions evolved around the global security challenges, cooperation in combating cross-border crimes, and strengthening partnerships to meet the evolving challenges of the 21st century.
