RIYADH — Saudi Arabia’s Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) and South Korea’s Ministry of Food and Drug Safety have enhanced ways of cooperation in the fields of food and medical products.
This came after Saudi Arabia and Korea signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to cooperate in the fields of food and medical products, which took place on Sunday on the sidelines of the South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol’s visit to Saudi Arabia.
The MoU, aims to exchange information in terms of regulation, systems, standards, international coordination activities, scientific evaluation, and laboratory tests related to food control, managing quality and safety, pre-marketing evaluation, researches and regulations related to artificial intelligence, and the innovative medical devices.
It also aims to participate in conducting research in fields of common interest, exchange experiences, in addition to consultations and visits, holding seminars, workshops, and joint training courses, as well as, ensuring the quality and safety of food and medical products.
The fields in the signed MoU between the two sides also includes pharmaceutical products, biopharmaceutical products, medical devices and cosmetics.
