Saudi defense minister discuss developments in Gaza with French counterpart

RIYADH — Saudi Arabia's Minister of Defense Prince Khalid Bin Salman received a phone call, on Saturday from Sébastien Lecornu, minister of the French Armed Forces.

During the phone call, the two sides reviewed the bilateral relations between Saudi Arabia and France, and the existing cooperation in defense fields.

The Saudi and French counterparts also discussed the joint coordination regarding issues and developments in the region, and efforts aimed at calming the situation there.

The latest developments in Gaza and its surroundings, and the international efforts being made in this regard, were also discussed.

The Saudi defense minister confirmed the importance of stopping military operations, protecting civilians, abiding by the international humanitarian law, working toward finding a solution to restore the stability to the region, and restoring the peace path in a way that allows the Palestinians to obtain their legitimate rights.
