TEHRAN — Portuguese coach Jorge Jesus, the head coach of Al-Hilal Saudi team, hopes that the enthusiasm of Iran's Nassaji team will lead to an opposite result in their match on Tuesday, allowing the Saudi giant to continue its journey in the AFC Champions League.

Al-Hilal managed to avoid defeat and secured a late 1-1 draw against their Uzbek guest, Navbahor, in the first round of the group stage, leaving them two points behind Nassaji, who triumphed over Mumbai City FC from India.

Al-Hilal, a record four-time champion, seeks a positive result in the upcoming match to avoid complicating their position in Group C.

Jorge Jesus addressed a press conference on Monday, saying: "We appreciate the enthusiasm of Nassaji for Tuesday's match. We hope to capitalize on this enthusiasm to showcase the capabilities of the players."

The Portuguese coach added: "We have a special and great history in the AFC Champions League. Our goal is victory tomorrow to continue the team's journey."

Expressing concern about the condition of the Azadi Stadium, where the match will be held, Jesus said: "I hope that the stadium's pitch will help both teams deliver a fantastic match."
