RIYADH — Saudi Arabia has expressed its condolences to the government and people of South Korea on the victims of the floods and landslides that occurred in Cheongju-si city.

In a statement issued by the Kingdom's Foreign Affairs Ministry, Saudi Arabia has also expressed its sincere wishes for quickly finding the missing and for a speedy recovery of the injured people.

At least 40 people in South Korea have died after a weekend of severe rains caused widespread flooding and landslides across the country.
