1,659,837 pilgrims arrive until Sunday’s end

The General Directorate of Passports has announced that 1,659,837 pilgrims have entered the Kingdom through air, land, and sea ports during this year’s Hajj season of 1444 AH, as of the end of Sunday, June 25.

JEDDAH — The General Directorate of Passports has announced that 1,659,837 pilgrims have entered the Kingdom through air, land, and sea ports during this year’s Hajj season of 1444 AH, as of the end of Sunday, June 25.

According to the Passports Directorate, 1,592,199 pilgrims arrived from outside the Kingdom through airports, including 242,272 beneficiaries of the “Makkah Route Initiative."

“The number of arrivals through land ports was 60,807 with 6,831 pilgrims arriving through sea ports.”

The Passports Directorate is committed to utilizing all of its capabilities to facilitate entry procedures for pilgrims.

This includes equipping its platforms at international air, land, and sea ports with the latest technological devices, operated by qualified personnel proficient in different languages. — SPA
