RIYADH — The Ministry of Tourism has stated that there are 7 tourist activities that require its practitioner to obtain a license and abide by its requirements.

This comes in order to ensure the services' quality that is provided to beneficiaries.

The 7 activities are represented in the services of travel and tourism, tourism accommodation facilities, tourism accommodation facilities management, private tourism accommodation facilities.

Additionally, the services of tourism guidance, tourism consultancy, and the experimental activities.

The Ministry had earlier required the new tourism law violators to correct their conditions and issue licenses for activities.

Any practitioner for the tourism activity who violates the requirements would be imposed a financial penalty that reaches to SR1 million, or the closure of the facility.

It urged investors in these sectors inside Saudi Arabia to adhere to its new regulations that were recently issued.

The new reugulations aim to develop the tourism sector and improve the quality of services provided, in order to match international best practices and preserve the tourists' rights.
