Riyadh — Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan on Saturday called on the Sudanese to return to dialogue to achieve security and stability for the country.

In a statement posted on his Twitter account, the minister said: “We call on the brothers in Sudan to quickly stop military operations, exercise maximum restraint, and avoid escalation.”

Prince Faisal also appealed to give priority to the interests of the Sudanese people by preserving their gains and capabilities, and returning to the framework agreement, which aims to reach a political declaration that achieves security, stability and prosperity for Sudan and its people.

Earlier the day, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the Kingdom’s deep concern over the state of escalation and military clashes between the army and the Rapid Support Forces in Sudan.
