RIYADH — The Riyadh Police has arrested 3 expatriates for stealing gold and jewelry stores.
The expatriates, Bangladeshi nationality, were violators of the labor law and the residency (Iqama) law, the police said.
It noted that they impersonated incorrect identities and committed robbery incidents and also traded the stolen goods.
The Riyadh Police confirmed that they have recovered some of the stolen items.
The accused were arrested and the legal measures were taken against them. They were then referred to the Public Prosecution.
It is noteworthy that impersonating identity is considered as a penal crime that is punishable by law in Saudi Arabia.
The penalties of impersonation vary according to the type of the crime, and its negative effects on individuals and society.
