DAMMAM — Al-Shabab Club has won the Saudi Women’s Championship Cup for Swimming Clubs and Academies for all age groups. Al-Nassr Club and Al-Jabalain Club came second and third respectively in the tournament.

A total of 180 swimmers from 17 sports clubs and academies participated in the two-day competitions held at the Ministry of Sports swimming pool in Dammam. There were 25 referees for the tournament.

It is noteworthy that the championship came as a continuation of the club competitions, which are organized by the Saudi Arabian Swimming Federation as part of its plans and strategies aimed at raising the rates of competitiveness among club players. The competitions also target to find out distinguished and talented swimmers, who can represent the national teams and participate in international competitions and tournaments.
