Saudi Arabia's Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha) announced on Tuesday that it has arrested 159 government employees on charges of bribery and money laundering.

Nazaha' announcement came while revealing its handling with several criminal and administrative cases in the month of Rajab 1444AH (January-February 2023).

It has carried 2,194 monitoring tours, which resulted in investigation of 241 suspects, and arrests of those accused on charges of abuse of power, bribery, money laundering and forgery. Some of the arrested suspects were released on bail.

Those arrested are affiliated with the Ministries of Defense, Interior, Health, Education, Justice, Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, in addition to the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority.
