RIYADH — Assistant Speaker of the Shoura Council Dr. Hanan Bint Abdulrahim Al-Ahmadi met with a delegation of members of the UK Parliament headed by Yasmine Qureshi Sunday.

The meeting discussed bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom in general and the parliamentary relations, in particular, that bring together the Shoura Council and the UK Parliament.

The two sides stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation between the Shoura Council and the UK Parliament in a way that contributes to advancing the relations between the two countries to broader horizons.

Friendship Committee

Presided over by Shoura Council Member and Chairman of the Saudi-UK Parliamentary Friendship Committee of the Shoura Council Dr. Ghazi Bin Faisal Bin Zagr, the Committee held a meeting Sunday with a delegation of members from the UK Parliament headed by Qureshi.

During the meeting, they reviewed several issues of common interest in various fields, especially parliamentary issues between the Shoura Council and the UK Parliament.

Furthermore, they discussed ways to enhance bilateral relations in various fields and stressed the importance of strengthening communication. — SPA
