RIYADH — The Ministry of Education has announced the allocation of 300 fellowships for specialist medical training for Saudi doctors in Britain.

This will be implemented through the England-KSA International Postgraduate Medical Training Scheme (IPGMTS), in cooperation with the Health Education England (HEE) and University Hospitals of Birmingham (UHB), the Saudi Press Agency reported.

The IPGMTS enables overseas doctors by arrangement with foreign governments to undertake full specialty training to UK standards.

The ministry called on those wishing to join the program to apply for the training program before January 2, via the link: https://ksp.moe.gov.sa/AMS/Pages/Degrees

It noted that enrollment in the training program will take place in April 2023.

Available seats include various general and subspecialties approved by the General Medical Council (GMC) of Britain, which qualify for professional classification after graduation.
