RIYADH — In the implementation of the directives of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, Nigerian conjoined twins Hassana and Hasina have arrived in Riyadh for evaluation to determine the possibility of their separation procedure.

Hassana and Hasina arrived on Thursday at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh from Nigeria on an air medical evacuation plane, accompanied by their parents.

The twins were immediately transferred to King Abdullah Specialist Hospital for Children under the Ministry of National Guard.

Advisor at the Royal Court and General Supervisor of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief) Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeeah, who is also head of the medical and surgical team, stressed that these initiatives embody the Kingdom's humanitarian efforts, which spread across the whole world.

Dr. Al-Rabeeah thanked King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for their support to the Saudi National Program for the Separation of Conjoined Twins, and for their humanitarian work.

Saudi Arabia has superior medical expertise and capabilities, which made it to be at the forefront of countries in the field of separating conjoined twins.

The twins' parents expressed their gratitude to King Salman for his directives to study the twins' case.
