Saudi Gazette report

RIYADH — Hussain Al-Qahtani, spokesman of the National Center of Meteorology (NCM), said that there are 11 days left for the start of the winter season according to the climatic conditions.

The Kingdom’s northern regions would first receive the cold waves, he said while noting that the NCM will soon issue a detailed statement with regard to the climatic conditions for the winter season.

It is worth mentioning that NCM has earlier confirmed that Saudi Arabia would witness rainy weather during the current first-semester mid-vacation for schools and universities.

In its report on the daily weather conditions over the regions of the Kingdom, the center said that there are chances of thunderstorms accompanied by active winds and showers of hail in parts of the regions of Jazan, Asir, Al-Baha and Makkah.

The report also showed that parts of the northern and eastern border regions, Riyadh, Qassim, Hail, Al-Jouf, Tabuk, and Madinah will witness a drop in temperature, accompanied by active winds.
