RIYADH — Members of the World Customs Organization (WCO) elected the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s representative in its working group to head the organization’s data and statistics working group.

Abdulaziz Bin Mohammed Al-Ohali, director of Data and Analytics at the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA), was named chair during the organization’s meetings held in Brussels, Belgium, in the presence of WCO Secretary-General Dr. Kunio Mikuriya.

The Kingdom’s election comes as a tribute to what the organization’s member states have witnessed of the distinction of ZATCA in data and analytics.

The election of ZATCA director was also due to its constant efforts in drawing up data strategies for the organization and outlining statistics standards and capacity building. — SPA
